2. Present Perfect Progressive – Emphasizes the action or its duration even if it isn’t happening now  

*sometimes the use of the present perfect progressive is illogical.

I’ve been waiting for hours. Where have you been? What have you been doing?      (The wait is over)

 

3. Present Perfect Progressive and Present Perfect can be used with verbs that express duration of usual or habitual activities.

The meaning is basically the same especially for verbs such as live, work, study, and teach used with for and since.

But the present perfect progressive emphasizes the temporary nature of an activity.
